Hunter Valley Accounting Firm takes out
3 major awards!

Recently at the ground breaking event “The Future of Accounting” in NSW Parliament House, some Best Practice Program member firms were recognized by John Peterson, as leading the way in terms of striving to get to the future first.

Peter & Linda Holmes of PLH Accountants of East Maitland, NSW, were one of these outstanding smaller firms recognised by Best Practice.

They must be doing something right, as they have also taken out 3 other major awards this year.

Award 1 – Practice of the Year – IPA
Award 2 – Fastest Growing Firm of The Year NSW – Accountants Daily
Award 3 – Local Finalist – Hunter Business Awards

“The Best Practice Program and Cashflow Momentum options just made more sense to

When PLH Accountants started looking into how they would best achieve their growth objectives, they considered a number of third party experts and their programs on” said Peter Holmes.  “In April this year, we started more seriously evaluating what was out there” Peter said.

They had no idea they would be exceeding their own expectations only six months later and be 60% up on last years billings, getting more done in less time everyday including having rolled out a staff profit share scheme, grown a healthy cash buffer, and started planning for continual growth for next year and beyond.

Peter & Linda have recently started acting as a reference for other small firms wanting to get their foundation right, so they can grow their businesses more effortlessly.

“Leadership, communication and getting your foundation right so that you can embrace these opportunities, rather than suffer anxiety and become overworked are the keys to ensuring Accountants keep up with the pace of change”, said Peter.

“The opportunities that are now there for Accountants that have the time, head space, quality teams and systematization in place to innovate and embrace are huge.” said Peter.
